Long time no see!

Things have been insanely hectic. School has kept me on my toes this semester (particularly my World Literature class, which I adore to no end but has me reading tons of the textbook every day), so virtually no time to get anything done. And that means writing, reading, or commenting. Many things I wanted to do went on hold.

As always I appreciate all the kind comments and visits from new friends. I promise, once this semester is over I'll be taking a much more active role in my dA life again!

But this is not to say my regular life has not been amazing. I am doing well in school, taking in student loans. I met a wonderful delight of a man. I turned twenty yesterday and have been able to spend time with (most) of my awesome friends and family. Things are swell!

The semester ends in mid-December, and you won't be seeing much of me until then. But I have something amazing to show you, so that I may leave on a happy note!

Work and life have come to a virtual standstill. You all know, of course, that school comes first, and every extra minute I have automatically goes to reading (my World Literature class alone demands a shitload of time). Don't get me wrong; I love it and am not complaining. This first week of classes, however, was a nightmare. My glasses snapped in half the second day and I'm a complete invalid without them. It really slows down everything I do. Critiques I wanted to have done (*cough*dar*cough*) have to wait, along with my own updates and edits.

But you guys were waiting anyway, so this is just one more excuse. I haven't forogtten about my many side projects.

Wish me luck handling life without sight for the next seven to ten business days!

Most of the research has been done with the many resources offered by astrologer Linda Goodman, a credible source that has never let me down! However a few one-liners have been taken from Wikipedia (usually not a credible source, but their astrology page happens to be quite good ).

Saturn: associated with the principles of limitation, restrictions, boundaries, practicality and reality, crystallizing and structures. Saturn governs ambition, career, authority and hierarchy, and conforming social structures. It concerns a person's sense of duty, discipline and responsibility, and their physical and emotional endurance during hardships.
Uranus: modern interpretations associate Uranus with the principles of genius, individuality, new and unconventional ideas, discoveries, electricity, inventions, and the beginnings of the industrial revolution. Uranus governs societies, clubs and any group dedicated to humanitarian or progressive ideals. Uranus, the planet of sudden and unexpected changes, rules freedom and originality. In society it rules radical ideas and people, as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures.
Neptune: associated with idealism and compassion, but also with illusion, confusion and deception; with religions, spirituality and mysticism, the mass media, creativity in art and music, drugs, extreme sensitivity, fantasy and imagination, psychic phenomena and altered mental states.
Pluto: …called "the great renewer", is considered to represent the part of a person that destroys in order to renew through bringing buried, but intense, needs and drives to the surface and expressing them, even at the expense of the existing order. A commonly used keyword for Pluto is "transformation". It is associated with power and personal mastery and the need to co-operate and share with another, if each is not to be destroyed. Pluto governs big business and wealth, mining, surgery and detective work, and any enterprise which involves digging under the surface to bring the truth to light. Pluto is also deeply associated with Mars.

Today this deviant turned two. Happy birthday to me!

The age of my last journal was beginning to bother me.

There have been a few updates. I went through some of Gargoyle and graced Wendell with an update. I've outlined and sketched out the next few pages of a few projects, but nothing else has really taken form.

I must confess - summer school drained me. I worked so much that I plan on enjoying this small vacation while I have it (classes begin on August 31). But writing and reading are my hobbies, not work, so I've fit in a few things.

I also want to thank everybody who's gone over to *Aurelian-Shade's page and said hello. It really means a lot to me, and to her, and it's good to know I've got some amazing friends!
